The main story is the only thing going for it but it can get drowned out by all the other random side stuff in the game.Ĭrafting better equipment is introduced and its not egregious but you feel like the publisher wanted to introduce loot boxes when you clear a hideout and open literal boxes for crafting materials. The side "quests" do not have their own stories like in the previous games. The attacks come out much more slowly than in previous games so you are now more susceptible to getting hit mid attack because your character decided to do some extra spins and flips.Įach character does not feel as unique relative to the playable characters in previous games. You have much less gadgets at your arsenal now No more relative strategy just hit the attack button repeatedly and evade. Guns are dodgeable and you take way less damage from them now because you cant disassemble them quickly with a special move like in the previous games, enemies are less variant and can all be taken down by the attack button. There is no more free-flow combat, you have less combat move variations, your special abilities don't seem as impact-full on the fight compared to the previous games, these martial artists have forgotten how to block and counter attacks and can only evade them. If you played the other batman arkham games then you will be as disappointed as i am realizing that they re-did the combat to be generic open world game combat. This will be my first review for a game if that says anything:
